SANN (‘Study of Ancient and New Nepal’) is a dynamic educational institution founded in 1989.  SANN Research Institute was organised out of shared interests of Mr. Narayan Shrestha and Dr. Igor Gamow of the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA.  In the short span of time, SANN has developed into a multi-faceted institution with a variety of academic programs for American and Nepali students, as well as for research.  SANN has contacts with various American universities, which assist in developing and implementing academic programs in Nepal. The headquarters of this institution is based in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
