Peace-Rally
 
SANN occasionally conducts variety of activities directed towards national service. One such program conducted in the year 2002 was "Peace Rally". Keeping in view the dire need of the country in peace making SANN jointly with sister organisation "Helping Hands" organised a "Peace Rally" on July 6, 2002. It was participated by several renowned personalities including Mr. Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Mr. Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Yogi Naraharinath, Mr. Satya Mohan Joshi and thousands of other peace lovers. Numerous schools and organizations also actively participated in the rally.
 
It was started from Kathmandu Tudekhel at 9:00 AM from different parts of city including Newroad, Indrachok, Botahity, Bagbazar, Putalisadak, Sahidgate and ended at Tudikhel at 2 PM.
 
The main purpose of Peace Rally was to maintain peace on the country. The diplomats of Nepal including the students has their own slogan carrying on their hands about peace and it was shown in the rally that how much Nepalese people love peace though they are facing so much anti-peace activities on daily activities.
 
 
The rally was created out of a common desire among most Nepalese for Peace in Nepal. It created a sense of peace in a country that has been struggling politically and economically several years. Student's, teachers, professionals and people form all walks of life joined hands, displayed banners slogans and donated time for a Noble cause 'Peace in Nepal'. The event was considered successful by all and gave hope to many.
